Has anyone out there had a Kidney stone surgically removed??
I have had 3 blasted by "Lithotripsy" over the years but this ****** is too big to be blasted so they intend removing via a "keyhole".
I am looking forward to being rid of it but 5 days in a Hospital too far away for visitors...........!
Go on tell me "It's not a bad proceedure"

Hi grandpajoe - having passed a kidney stone a few years back, I can honestly say I know how it feels! It was the most exruciating pain I've ever experienced! Even worse than childbirth!

I was told to stop taking calcium tablet immediately, to prevent any further build ups & thankfully haven't had a reoccurence. But if I did, I wouldn't hesitate to have keyhole surgery to remove it. As I say, in my case, nothing could be as painful as actually passing a kidney stone!

Good luck.
*excruciating - thought it didn't look right!
Doesn't look like there are many people who've had this procedure done then grandpajoe.......
