If you are given a 2 year warranty for parts and labour on a 3 year old car from a dealer, does this cover everything that could go wrong?

Terms of warranties vary massively and you should read it. Most warranties do not include consumeable items, i.e. brakes, tyres etc.
trt, the warranties are not the paper they are written on, Example, once had a warranty wheel bearing noisy had a VAT reg garage to explain the problem & said it need to be replaced their answer, has the bearing totally collapsed, does that tell you everything?
From bitter personal experience a warranty like this covers everything except what actually does go wrong!!!
