My Dad would like a Richie Havens cd for Christmas with a particular song on it - but he doesn't know the title of the song. He is an obscure singer and I am not holding out much hope that anyone knows this. The lyrics go something like: As long .....this land shall be Indian...(then a noise like grundy grundy).

If anyone has a clue then please enlighten me. Thanks

The one you are looking for is The Indian Prayer from the album Mixed Bag II.

Not everyones cup of tea but I like him singing Beatles songs, my favourite being Her Comes The Sun.
