I have just purchased a new laptop (Acer Aspire 1362wlmi) which has built in wireless technology (802.11g), but I need some help in understanding how to go about setting up a wireless connection at home.I currently have a 1.5 MB cable broadband connection, and would like to go wireless with my new latop, but would also like to share the BB connection with my old laptop (Acer Aspire 1312)  which is about 2 years old, but does not have 802.11g.I dont want them networked together, I just want them to be able to share the BB connection.Any advice on what I need to purchase to do this, and how to go about doing this would be most appreciated.I am also concerned about security. If my neighbour has wireless BB, would he be able to access my connection?

You can buy a PCMCIA wireless card for your old laptop. You also need a wireless router or wireless network point connected to your existing router. You can set security so others cannot connect to your wireless point: the best is based on only allowing the MAC address of the "known" wireless network cards to be able to connect but there are other options (64 or 128 bit WEP or WAP security).
