I know I have been absent from here for a while. Not inentional, just busy gearing up for the holidays. Short week at school this week for our American Holiday of Thanksgiving.

I am frighteningly organized with Christmas this year. Wrapped everything I have purchased already. Still have some shopping yet to do, but am moving right along.

Travelling to New Jersy for Thanksgiving to see my brother and Sis-inlaw's new house. I hate to drive and it is about 3 hours. Nerves already in an uproar.

How is everyone? Ice, Pasta, Hau Kola, Knobby, Big Mamma and everyone else? I have peeked on CB here and there and see some things don't change with the late night weekend warriors. LOL

Just wanted to say Hello and touch base.

The problem with shopping early is you keep shopping!! We have off from school from the 24th of Dec. until Jan. 5th. We usually go back on the 2nd, but they were nice and added the Friday this time. It stinks to go for that one day as we have in the past.

Pasta, do you do a "Thanksgiving" even though you are not here? I always enjoy hearing about the traditions others incorporate into the day. My students, from all ends of the Earth, always have an interesting twist or 2 on the traditional meal.

Hau- If I see Bon Jovi I'll be too busy with him to give your message. HaHa

I am surrending lappy to the 6 year old, so I will check in later/tomorrow.

Nice to hear from the old crew.

ET Staying home Chico.
Morning ET. I did celebrate Thanksgiving for a while when we first came to the UK...I wanted my daughter to know about our traditions. But now...since I am on my own,and I am usually working on the day....it is not possible.I AM reminded of it tho,as I live in Plymouth from whence the Pilgrims set sail. There has always been a tradition in this city to celebrate it.....officially at least.
Hi EngTeach. I haven't even started my Christmas shopping yet so envy you being so well organised.

One of the things on my list of things to do before you die is to go Christmas shopping in NY. I bet the decorations are fab.

Oh well, maybe next year.
Howdy Teach! Nice to hear from you.

I don't do much Christmas shopping - try to keep it all very basic, and I haven't started it yet.

But when I do, I'll be like a whirlwind, whizzing around and trying to get it all done and dusted in record time. I know I'm in the minority, but I find Christmas shopping a bit of a chore.

Thanks for your answers. I did not get an email saying I had more answers to my post. I am home today. Felling a bit icky and will go see doc later. Of course as my mom always said,"It wouldn't be a holiday if someone wasn't sick".
