I wonder if anyone can help me on this, I have always had a cordless phone, and all was well until I changed my internet connection to broadband about 6 months ago, ever since then my phone was just dead even after being charged all night, I would make or recieve a call and it would be bleeping after about 3 mins on the call then die on me, I have since brought a new phone and it is doing exactly the same thing, I have changed the batteries in it and left it charging....it was fine for about a week and now is doing the same as the old phone, I have contacted bt and they have checked the line and they say it is fine? They suggested I try a corded phone and the line is fine with that, but I want to use my new cordless!!! Any suggestions as to what it can be??? many thanks!

you should have a master socket (big ugly thing with a split level front)

the idea is you can disconnect the rest of the wiring and connect straight on the main feed

you can try both cord and cordless with nothing else - see how that goes - then if it's OK - it proves the problem is with your internal wiring
