They don't have boxing day in the US? I mean, what are they thinking of? They will be getting rid of Sundays next!
We have got into a bit of a routine with boxing day here, after all it is the feast of St. Stephen. They probably have a month off to celebrate Pepsi day or Taco Bell day, or Ken and Barbie day, or Doris Day.

but they do have several bank (public) holidays throughout the year that we don't have to make up for it.

We have 8 in total, they have 10.
But I bet their snow doesn't lie deep and crisp and even.
:-)

It's not that they don't have holidays, it is that they don't have boxing day.
boxing day is boring, all the excitement is over and everyone feels bloated

Would you rather go back to work then cazz?
yes
Bloated Day is universal. topo, you can still enjoy Bloated Day :o)
We are in the minority in having a boxing day, most of the rest of the world doesn't have one, it's only really the commonwealth countries that do.

Americans are bloated all year round.
My colostomy bag is bloated ready to explode. I am so unhappy here all alone covered in my own excrement. Thoughts of suicide jumping all around my head. I just found some dregs in a bottle of vodka. The liquid was brownish in colour and the rim covered in dried faeces but I had a gulp anyway. I have never been so sick and then I remembered it is the bottle I used to try and collect maggots in my bottom by sticking it up. Well I looked closer and couldnt see any maggots just thick congealed bits of puss floating about. I may drink it later.
Drink it now and do us all a favour.
