My Norton Anti-virus has just expired on my Laptop and it now doesnt work properly, soooooooooo slow its unbelievable and ive given up on it. Anyway, to get it working again I need to buy a new pack (Ive had a look on ebay and I have no idea about computers whatsoever by the way). So can anybody tell me what I need and also I understand I will have to remove all traces of my old Norton. Is that easy to do?
I have Windows XP by the way
Thanks x

The business who supplied my PC swear by AVG - and it's free from the Net -

They put it on all their new PC's.

I surf a lot, I use my PC for about two hours every evening, and I surf seriously, and have had no problems since the AVG was put on my old PC, and was already on this one, so I have had about six years of trouble-free surfing.

I found Norton to be more trouble than it's worth.
