There is chicken pox at my daughter's nursery, and although I am not overly worried about her catching it (better sooner than later I guess), my husband has just picked her up and she has been sick twice, which is unusual for her, so I am wondering if this is the onset of CP. He said she is fine in herself, but has vomitted twice in the past 2hours.

Has anyone had experience where their child has been sick before getting the rash?

Thanks

When my daughters had chicken pox the only symptoms before the spots appeared were cold like symptoms, neither of them had upset tummies.

Thank you daffy. As she only started four weeks ago we have been inundated with bugs - she has had colds, coughs, sickness and diahorrea in the first few weeks, but this week seemed bright as a button but has come home sick!

I am sure the only time I see her at the moment she is poorly!
It's hugely varied. My daughter was really really poorly and came out in huge blisters - son was slightly spotty and as big a b nuisance as ever.
my son, baby bigs, who's 22 years old, seems to've got chicken pox,feels/felt fine, wandering about in usual fasnion for him, scratching more than the norm, saying 'flea bites'seemed bigger than usual, had a nosey, too big for fleas.not aware he'd been in contact with anyone with it though, but is about around here i've been told.out of interest, can you have shingles more than once?when i had CP,only had headache the day before & only 2 spots, only knew what was as others @ school'd had it
