understandable? I think so. My alarm is set for 6.30 in the morning, for half an hour he talks and talks. He may play one record. He is loud and, to me, arrogant and outspoken. He said himself that he couldn't understand it. Is his ego really that big that he cannot see how it can turn people off the way he talks AT people at that time in the morning.

So I was left in a quandry. Who to switch to, Johnny Vaughan, a lesser version of Chris Moyles. Jamie Theakstone, who seems to repeat the last half hour so much that I had listened to the show twice before getting in to work.

Radio two, lasted a week.

The one good thing about Radio 1 and Chris Moyles is that you have to get up to switch the bloody big mouth off. I know if he read this he would tell me to shut up and listen to something else, perhaps that is what people are doing?

I think Moyles is a 'marmite' presenter - I personally love him.

I think listeners fluctuate, and he has nothing to worry about.

His style doesn't suit all tastes, obviously not yours, but if he works as an efficient alarm, then that has to be a good thing!
I quite enjoy the banter in the morning. Not just for Chris Moyles who, although can be an arrogant so&so, can also be very funny. But I like the whole banter between his posse - especially Comedy Dave.

They talk about some real trivia cr@p sometimes, and a lot of in-jokes, but each to their own. Personally it starts off my work morning/journey to work (usually) laughing - nothing wrong with that.
Try Christian O'Connell on Absolute Radio (formerly Virgin)

Mind you he can get a bit irritating aswell, so I bounce between him and Johnny Vaughan.

No way could I listen to Chris Moyles.
i love the show, but yes he does talk to much and sometimes i switch to kerrang, mind you depending on what is being played i do a fair bit of switching between the two stations!
I love the chatting in the morning, gives me somethin to giggle about on my boring drive to work!! Moyles cracks me up, he gives a humorous slant on things! Who doesn't like to rant every now and again, (or indeed frequently)?
try nicky and shelagh on radio 5. I would agree with the marmite thing, and would just add that i both love him and hate him at the same time ... how can that be??
Don't try Magic!

The music at that time in the morning is enough to send you back to sleep, plus after a while you begin to realise that it is the same records over and over again. OK, it's like that for a lot of radio stations I know, but I think Magic has to be the worst.

That said, I listen in the car - I found out by accident that it helps keep the road rage down.
