I am thinking about buying a house 'that needs a bit of work!'

It is structurally ok. But needs..new windows, new plumbing, including central heating. new wiring, new kitchen, new bathroon, and obviously decorating.

Can anyone help with the order in which to do everything.
Obviously wiring before plastering!

Or can anyone recommend any books.

Thankyou

Went thru similar....
1. New roof with insulation
2. new windows/doors to secure property
3. plumbing & central heating
4. Electrical work
5. concrete ground floors
6. plastering
7. decorating
9. kitchen fittings
10. soft furnishings
I agree. That's the order that my list'd be in as well.
On 2 houses we had a rewire done before plumbing and heating. It brings a lot of plaster down and unbelievable mess.

And the kitchen fitments went in before decorating to prevent damage to walls.
