How much does it cost to use the internet on my iphone?

Hi, I just got an iPhone today and wanted to know how much it costs to use the internet on it? I have heard some people say it costs nothing but others say you have to buy data packets? I am on the �35 a month tariff with o2. Hope someone can help. Thanks.

I believe that with the iPhone you can only log onto the net wirelessly through O2's portal, this means you can't go into an internet cafe for instance and use there wi/fi. If this is the case then you may have a bundle in with your contract so check what tariff your on.
