I have always lived by this motto but is it me or does it get you knowhere in life?

Peoples attitudes to me are often people feel they can get away with talking or treatin me different to say another of my friends who wont put up with it, same at work, id awlways get the b um jobs as they knew i woulnt kick up a fuss

I made a lot of friends at university, I am now 26 and we do occasionally meet up for reunions etc, but i was made redundant and as we all live in different parts of the country its hard to see eachother often

For instance theres one who fair play to him moved to a big city and got a good job after university, but it seeems to have changed him - hes forever making sarcy comments and acting the big cheese and to be honest it stinks and is getting old on me

What happened was I got made redundant and thought id be honest and say i cannot commit to anything at the moment as honesty is best policy, after all hes not my boss or anything !
He invited us all to go away on holiday and i just mentioned my redundacny and the fact i have no income and he went off the rails like he was my pare and then went on to act lke oh well we will have a better time without him anyway. nt, in fact the first words of his reply email were "why oh why am i not surprised"

Thing is, i was always told, if people bring you down, just ignore them or dont see them anymore, but this is whats happening here, they always try and find a way to make me feel like im stopping their fun! but i am living in the real world where i have no current income and am hinking about my priorities! if he cant understand that then its his problem?

Thing is i have a stag do around that time with family which is more important and also another reunion with guys i spent a lot of time with at uni, who dont go mad when i say a genuine reason i MAY NOT be able to make it

what should i do? to be

Ur feeling a bit 'hard-done-by' 'cause of redundancy....ur feeling victimised. Don't, it happens to lots of us and is just a part of life. You'll find another way of earning!

As for friends sympathy.....they're worried u may be looking for hand-outs?

Remember, u today.....them 2moro. Keep focused on earning for now.
Hi monk,
you have patience & respect for others, not everyone does sadly. You should be proud of yourself! I hope you find what you are looking for! xxx
