do u have any answer to this one ethel ?
No, as I said to you before you have 50,000 to invest - pay your debts off, clear your credit rating and your wife will have a better chance.

It is difficult for anyone to get credit at the moment unless they have an excellent credit rating - it will be even more difficult for somebody who could feasibly go back to Thailand at any time.

who said my wife is going back to thailand at any time ???? why would she be any different to get credit than any uk citizen ??? i will not be clearing my phone debt off either as it was wrong that they over charged me,matter of principal!!!....so effectively my credit rating effects my wife??? also what about all the many thousands of british people who have second homes in benidorm etc ....does it affect their credit rating becuse they could go live in spain at any time ??? what really are you saying ethel....just answer the question and stop beating about the bush please....
Your wife has only a 5 year resident visa - there is no guarantee she will be able to remain at the end of that period.

As she has been here only 15 months she will not have a credit history for lenders to base any judgement on.

Everyone is finding it tough to get credit at the moment, and the fact she is married to a man with a bad credit history, has only got a five year visa and has no credit history all goes against her.
