when i took the tablets (much nicer than the tea itself) i found info that said start at 36 weeks on 1 tablet a day, slowly increasing to 3 a day at 40 weeks.

ps. it doesnt make it easy, but is supposed to help the contractions do their work more effectively.

dont take it before 36 weeks

just bought raspberry and peach, tastes nice but the raspberry leaf is only 2%. Didnt know if this was enough to do the job??
is that raspberry "leaf" or just raspberry?

it sounds to me like just a fruit tea.

The tea tastes vile, i took just the tablets with my two. !st was a 6 hour labour and second was less than 2 hours (from first contraction)

these are ones i got. Currently on sale at Holland and Barret http://www.hollandandbarrett.com/pages/product _detail.asp?pid=191
Ive never heard of this before?

so does is really work??

i was in labour 18 hours with my first :o(

id do anything for an easy ride this time lol

Its definately Leaf, and its herbal. For the other lady that answered, i have read that it makes contractions more effective therefore making second stage labour alot quicker. Although, how do people know that particular labour wouldnt of been quick anyway?? LOL I dunno but you can find quite alot of information about it now. I had never heard of it b4 I went antenatel last week.
hi littlemiss! not long to go now!!
i was also told about this at my antenatal this week, midwife said it can help you go into natural labour and could help you have an easier delivery because they think it works on the muscles of the uterus but there wasnt any real proof. worth a try i think, i wasnt told about the percentage in the tea i am getting the tablets as i cant stand herbal tea.

LOL just posted another question asking if ur well. Wierd eh. Dropped a bit now so not so uncomforatable. Still finding hard to get my head round im really having a baby , which sounds rediculous considering ive already got two kids and a massive belly lol Just cant imagine it. Wierd eh. How u doing anyway, are u all packed ??? I just gotta get some big girls pants lol
I am the same, i cant imagine having two kids! I have just been doing my bag this week. Still have a few baby bits to get though. I have my lovely disposable pants, very sexy!
I think i have been carrying low all along with this baby as i've had no heartburn or indigestion, it was really bad with my son. Getting very excited now, even looking forward to the birth, but i wont be getting the waterbirth i was hoping for as the pool is broken at my hospital.
HI Littlemiss

I started raspberry leaf tea at 36 weeks and took 3 cups a day right up to when I gave birth. The bad news is that I was 2 weeks late and had a 29 hour labour but, A friend of mine did the same and delivered in 6 hours. I'm of the opinion it doesn't really work and its just your luck!!

Good luck
