I have recently moved in with my friend and I have been bitten a few times since moving into her home, she has 2 cats and we have checked them over and they don't seem to be carrying any fleas etc, but this doesn't explain why I keep been bitten, I don't know how to approach my new house mate as I think she will be embarrassed if I explain that I keep getting bitten any suggestions ? TIA

If the eggs are in the carpets they are very hard to detect, they are like grains of sand, you would have to buy a tin of special spray from your vet or buy online, and fumigate the rooms for several hours, keeping pets out,and maybe using frontline on the cats!!!!
Hi,

Even if you can't see the flea's, when the cats been resting somewhere for a while if there are small brown bits left behind (flea poo) where they were, this usually means they are present. Frontline is really good, just put on the back of the neck and obviously do all carpets, soft furnishings etc.
