Oh dear. Christian Voice, the religious group who kicked up such a fuss about Jerry Springer - The Opera has just forced a cancer charity to reject a donation of 3k from Jerry Springer - The Opera.  This it did by contacting the charity and threatening to demonstrate outside their offices and warning that christians may stop donating to the charity if they were to accept the gift.  Justified or just plain selfish?

I see from the weekends papers that an MP is going to make a statement in the House of Commons about this group of dangerous, biggoted, lunatics, and they are likely to be investigated.  Not least because they have now begun a campaign of threatening women outside abortion clinics.   They need to be stopped NOW.  Personnally, I think these sort of people should be put under house arrest before we worry about terrorists.

Cool, that's the best news I've heard in ages.  Thanks for that kick3m0n.
Jerry Springer The Opera is unashamedly offensive to Christians, so why shouldn't Christians object to it? They are not threatening 'bullying tactics' but legal peaceful protest (when the Suffragettes put firebombs or acid through letterboxes when women's voting rights were ignored, were they 'bullying'? Of course not.). And Christian Voice (although I don't know them) are at least non-violent.  People think Christians should turn the other cheek, and I won't go into that, but if anyone else feels threatened, they do something about it, so why should Christians just sit down and shut up? They're not saying 'Don't give to cancer charities', the're saying 'Give to cancer charities but not to ones that attack our personal beliefs'.  Seems fair enough to me.

Christians can object to Jerry Springer all their live long days as far as I'm concnered.  But they should not be able to dictate to an unrelated, non-Christian cancer charity what money they can and cannot accept.   They didnt' open upa debate with teh cahrity.  They threatened them, pure and simple.   Have you actually checked out the website tartanwiz?  I'm actually aghast that anyone could defend their actions.
