why every so oftern does my bolier turn its self down and i have no hot water its doing my head in !! when this happenes i turn it off the bolier by the switch and turn it back on untill i sort of hear it kick back in then its fine its normally on 0.5 and a red light is flashing my heating has been turned off all summer and not back on yet i have gas central heatng which is all joined

what make and model of boiler is it?
what exactly is happening with the hot water? is it going hot and cold hot and cold or is the boiler shuttng down altogether and going to lock-out?
i dont know any boiler that operates at 0.5 bar, they are usually 0.8 to 1.2 bar with 1.0 bar being the norm. try topping the water in the boiler up to 1.0 and see if that helps.

oh my god i havent got a clue !!! dumb blonde here it a sanuver duval or summint like that ??? lookes like a logo with a red bird orfeather on it . the water just runs cold and no hot water then when i go to the boiler the red light isflashing and the numbers say 0.5 ?? we had to get someone outlast yr and paid �120 and he said cause of the boiler typeit will do this every year but surely that cant be right ???
Hi leeandjoanne, Some of the Saunier Duval boilers have a built in filling loop under the boiler. If the digital display shows pressure less than 0.7bar, re-pressurise the system to 1bar by gently opening the built in filling taps underneath the boiler. Tap extension tools are provided to facilitate this. Using the tap extensions connected to taps open one tap and then slowly open the other tap. Re-pressurise the system to a pressure of 1.0 bar indicated on the digital display. When the system is pressurised you must close bloth taps. On older Saunier Duval boilers there is a seperate filling loop you will have to locate it, usually is quite near to the boiler under it attached to the pipes and has a silver braided hose and taps on either end you need to attach the hose and open up the taps untill correct pressure then close both taps and disconect the hose.
