Changed Spark Plugs on my car other day but when taking one out a bit of plastic broke off and went into the engine. Now it is making a noise once in a while. Is this ok will it make its way out eventually?

It's probably a piece of hard brittle ceramic insulation. Worst case scenario: it could jam one of the valves open and cause some damage. It may get broken into small pieces and get blown out of the engine with the exhaust gas flow.
Hi, depends on how big has dropped in, if its a large amount marks the leads eg/ 1.2,3.4. make sure you have them in the right order for reinsertion, take out the plug that has cracked get a torch a long screwdriver with grease on the end to retreave the bits alternitive have you seen them long flexible claws at the end? for picking up bolts in bad restriced areas pop that down the port and try and retreave I understand this is a lot of messing about but it is cheaper than replacing the head that is what it may come to if a valve is bent or even broken.
Thanks Teddio & T.W.R. your advise was most helpfull!!!! I thought I would answer this Question as gas does not seem bothered.
