i this is going to sound a bit stupid , last night i looked out and the moon was orange i was wondering does anyone know why this is xxxxxx

Did you have sunglasses on at the time?

no lol it was the first time i saw it it was 9:30 at night and i was really orange i thought it was wered

probably a combination of two things

light reflected from the setting sun and dust particles in the air

But rachael88 - why say "this is going to sound a bit stupid" ? You saw that the moon had an orange tint and wondered why. There is nothing silly in that!
Science is all about observations and finding out answers and explanations!
Yours was an entirely sensible question based on what you saw, so please don't feel silly for asking!
