Could be anything...low on battery...email alert....any alert in fact will beep if the system is set to do so.

So it could be nothing. I would advise though running an anti-virus program etc, delete any unwanted programs etc, and see if the "problem" still occurs

thanks for that. iv got anti virus etc but glad to know its probably nothing :o)

xx
just hang on .... you can't say It isn't .... unless you know what it is!
if it were low battery - surely you'd know?

what's happening?
same time ?
what is running?

hi, its not a low battery and it dont matter what is running it still does it. its only a little beep and nothing shows on screen when it makes that sound. Everythings running fine and my anti virus and spyware are up to date.:o)
One healthy beep on startup is normal, any other beeps either on startup or while running is usually an alert that something is not quite right. From what you said so far it could be (and only could be) that your CPU is running hot probably due to a wornout/faulty fan.

If you can not fully explain your beeping occasions to ACtheTROLL's Qs, google for "COMPUTER BEEP CODES" and see if anything resembles what you are experiencing.

It is up to you but I wouldn't leave it like that.
