Hi

I bought a lavender plant ( non specific in type) in a pot from Tesco in the Summer. I have left it in the pot and it blossomed well. Now the flowers are fading and I was wondering what I need to do with it so it remains healthy over the winter.

Any tips??

Thanks in advance x

You need to cut it off hard now - to remove virtually all the existing grey leaves. If you don't, those shoots turn to woody material and you end up with a very leggy plant.

Hi

I have trimmed it down from the height of 12 inches down to 3 inches. have I gone down to much?

Plus can I plant it in my borders now? or shall I leave it in the pot?

Thanks
As long as there are some little grey leaves showing it'll be OK and yes you can plant it out.
