Does ATRESIA fit. Absence of the GI tract is not compatible with life and as far as I know doesn't exist. ATRESIA affects parts of the GI tract e.g duodenum or ileum. Would be interested to know the answer.

Thanks catron, my mistake was assuming that the answer was a medical term and clearly it wasn't.
