any white fish flaked into a cheese sauce with some mash to thicken it usually goes down quite well. Tinned sardines in tomato sauce mashed on toast fingers as a snack. You could make salmon mayo on her sandwiches as a change from Tuna - lovely made with fresh salmon.

Fish cakes made with salmon or any white fish.
I do not enjoy eating fish myself, so my health visitor suggested that I purchased some 100% fish fingers, cook them and cut the bread crumbs off, leaving a nice flaky fish fillet.
Maybe try adding these fish flakes to a cheese sauce as annie0000 suggests.
Good luck!

Other than white fish, tuna and salmon what other fish is suitable?
I would caution on fish dishes for a 1y old. Tuna, fish cakes & cod are enuf for her digestive organs which are still developing.

Always make sure there is bread & butter or chips available to smother any fish bones she may inadvertently swallow.

Thanks for the advice terambulan.
hi I was told by my health visitor many years ago to give lemon sole to babies from 6 months onward, it is the only fish with no bones according to her. All 5 of my children were weaned on it. I would poach it and give mashed tatties and any veggies to go with it, just ask for a fillet and it cooks in no time, poach it in some milk or steam it, or you could give it with pasta and cheese sauce with peas, carrots and sweetcorn.

good luck

My daughter used to make an easy 'fish pie' dish by using Birds Eye boil in the bag cod in butter sauce, then adding mashed sweet potato. My grandson used to love it.
Hi Nat, my son absolutley love fish, I think he prefers it to meat really. HIs favourite is dead simple, cut a slamon fillet up into small cubes and lightly fry it, then add some milk and soft cheese into the pan and stir that in. Steam some small pieces of brocolli and then add those to the pan as well. He loves this with pasta or mash potato. He also loves smoked fish but because that's quite salty he rarely has it. But he basically likes any fish with cheese.
Hope she likes it!!!

Frozen food is my saviour - veggie wise espeically!
