I set Skype up on a new PC and amongst my usual contacts I have also found a lot of telephone contacts that I wish to remove. I can find any number of ways to add contacts but nothing guides me to deleting them. Any one know how?

Open Skype, right click on the contact you wish to delete, and click 'delete from contacts'.

Thanks for the suggestion, but it doesn't work for telephone contacts, only the with contacts you have set up yourself.
You've confused me. I can remove all my Skype contacts and landline contacts in that way.

All the numbers in my contacts have been added by me.

How have yours got there?
Question Author
I've no idea how they got there. Just a few - 20 or so - and most are people I haven't contacted in months! Only names and phone numbers and this is only on one network computer. Nothing on my laptop. There are also 2 that have appeared that I only entered into Outlook contacts today.
Question Author
I can delete the normal Skype contacts in the way you said.
Question Author
I just found the answer to my question:

Go to Tools in Skype and if it is ticked click ' Show Outlook Contacts' . Tick goes, contacts vanish.
Easy!
Oh. I don't use Outlook so have never come across that.

Thanks for letting us know
