Both me and my wife have recently started suffering from blocked noses and sneezing in the house we have lived in for a number of years. We are not the best of keeping on top of dusting and vaccuming, and the house can be a little dusty.

Do those home air purifiers that say they remove dust particles reall work?

Might it be better to do a tidy-up? A good blitz of the existing dust will work wonders for your snuffles. Whereas introducing somethng to purify the existing environment will surely just pump all the dust mite faeces round and round.

nice thought - you've made my mind up
A damp cloth to wipe up dust etc is far healthier than sprays which can aggravate your air passages and cause wheezing. Cheap too. Do you empty and clean your vacuum cleaner regularly? Your health is worth the trouble.
Air purifiers do more than just remove dust particles. The get rid of odours in the air, allergens etc.
