Windows Mail Problems

I got a new computer in March with Windows Mail on it (v similar to Outlook). It is version 6.0.6000 and runs with Vista.

I use my home email a lot for emailing clients and it appears that some of them have problems reading my mail because it comes out in Japanese (I have never typed anything in Japanese and wouldn't even know what it looks like). I have only experienced this problem since I got Windows Mail and if I do emails directly off the server (ie not through the mail package) it is fine.

Can anyone help please? It's very annoying for me and the clients.

I don't know windows mail so don't know where exactly the option would be but you should be able to find an option to change the mail format to plain text, I suspect it is in rich text or HTML at the moment

in outlook it would be

Select Tools > Options
Click on the Send tab.
Make sure Plain Text is selected under Mail Sending Format.
Click OK.
