Hi, just found out that my ex whose living in Germany with new man ( 4rsehole) has had her babies. All is apprently fine, and they had two little boys, although the situaiton between me and them has been somewhat frought lately over me seeing my girls who live with them.
Question... do I try to smooth things over by sending a card or ecard etc congratulating them or is this likely to be seen as me being 'funny', the problem being that my ex views anything I do with the utmost suspicion and thinks I have an ulterior motive for everything.

Thank you all for your input, I don't think anyone has given me an advice which is invalid, and Boo I can see where you're coming from, which is why I posted a question in the first place.
I've decided however, to send a card, addressed to the whole household on the basis that they've had a happy event and half of the issues my ex seems to have with me is that she thinks I 'dont acknowledge *new bloke* as her husband'.

I do, I just don't have to like him or that fact, and I've certainly got no axe to grind to two newborn babies, so I'll send something and keep you posted as to how it's recieved.

Thanks again all:)
good move nox, you know it makes sense
