I have been offered the opportunity to buy in a few electronic items from outside the eu at a very reasonable price. I would want to sell these items on for a profit and was wondering what if any are the laws and obligations regarding import taxes etc.

It will also be neccessary to check that they run properley on the UK system i.e. correct voltages, plugs PAL etc. depending on what they are.
