Pub Grub near the Docklands

Hiya
can anybody recommend somewhere to eat close to the Docklands / Excel building. We want cheap and cheerful pub grub, dont mind driving a few miles either to get there

And there was me thinking London was quite a big place and not just a few miles wide......You learn something new everyday!......
Well its not that far, and if you plan your route you can avoid the congestion charge, but I would go to manzes on Tower Bridge Road (south of the bridge) near the junction with Grange Road.

There you will find the greatest pie and mash on the planet with double pie, double mash, liquor and a mug of tea for about �5.50 each.

Not a pub, but a taste of how London should be before multi-culturalism made your bum sting and breath smell.

Honestly, simply fantastic.
