Does anyone know of any creams or oils that are effective in reducing the appearance of stretch marks? I've heard that Bio Oil is good, but does it actually work?

I have used bio oil. Its true stretch marks never disappear, but i definately noticed a difference in how noticable they were after using it for about 3 weeks, rubbing it in every evening before bed.

So if you'd rather not bother less its gong to make them disapear, dont bother with it, but if you'll keep at it for a bit, and would be happy with an improvement, then give it a try.
It makes your skin look good too!

Boots have a promotion on Bio Oil at the moment which makes it more affordable, or you could do as i did, and buy a big bottle on ebay at a very good price.
Bio oil never worked on mine. I would definitely recommend to anyone whos having a baby to start using a moisturiser or oil on their stomach from day one to prevent them, because once you've got them, YOU'LL NEVER get rid of them. I would recommend trying to spend a bit more on a lovely smelling essential oil mix. If you have no money then tesco wisdom stretch mark cream was more affordable and definitely tingled so it was trying to do something at least!!! Seriously, a kangol couldn't even get rid of my stretch marks now! 3 baby stretches too many
keep your skin supply and well moisturised with anything from baby oil to shea butter and eventually the marks will fade out to silvery threads, but wear them with pride. Why do people worry about stretch marks yet are quite happy to have a tattoo to commemorate a baby. (I have both and the stretch marks are more beautiful)
Laser treatment would be the most effective, but quite costly.
There is a gel by Clayton Shegal that contains collagen, and I've used it to reduce lots of scaring. No product will give you perfect results, but this one certainly helps repair the skin in my case
Use Oil of Olay daily. It is good for practically everything. Nurses in hospital told me that they even used to use it to prevent bed sores.
Unfortunately Melonberry, the product you mention only seems to be vailable in Canada.
