Are all car cigarette lighters the same physical size?  I've got something I want to plug into a 2004 nissan micra, but it won't fit.  Have I got a dodgy plug or are micra cig lighters an odd size?  Thanks

They're all the same.... apart from some Japanese vehicles!  I would say that you're one of the unlucky people as far as cigarette lighters go!

I'm assuming you are trying to plug in a kettle or similar. Just check there is not a removable plastic collar round the contacts end of the plug. These are sometimes left on to allow the plug to fit into dedicated power jacks.

They are NOT all the same size. However I think there may just be 2 sizes. Some cars have what is termed a "cigar" lighter, which is larger. I ruined a phone charger by trying to make it fit, until I realised what was going on.
