i have just had my head gasket replaced on my freelander
to be honest in the seven years of owning it its been as good as gold 9 (one of the few by all accounts)
now my problem is that since it has been repaired the traction control and hill descent lights on my dash stay eluminated whilst driving although it does`nt seem to be affecting the general running of the car it just irritating whilst driving
i have spoken to the mechanic who says that it is nothing to do with him and i should take it to a freelander dealer in order to do a bio check with the on board computer
is there any other way of getting around this problem without being scammed again
i will gladly await any suggestions
many thanx

Typical response : It sounds like the fitter has dislodged some wiring somewhere when fitting the HG.

I had an alternator fitted by a **** who failed to spot a blown fuse, I ended up taking him to court for a refund.

I would do one of two options, get a good motor electrician to try and diagnose the problem, or try and get a garage with a system computer to trying and locate the fault.

Push comes to shove, get LR to put their computer on it, it might cost a few quid but peace of mind is worth it.
