I moved into a home and the lower of the sash windows was out. How do you put it back in the track?

If it's a true sash window, with pulleys, ropes, etc., it's a demanding job, but do-able with patience. Here's a good guide: http://www.diyfixit.co.uk/diy/building/sash_wi ndows/sash_windows.html

If, on the other hand, it's a simple, modern window, especially a vinyl constructed one wherein the lower window slides up and down in a track, then follow these instructions:

Best of luck!
