Am trying to book Mr Spudqueen into a hotel in China but the rates are described as being RMB 938. This doesn't look like yen, any ideas as to what it might be?

Could be Royal Malay Bank (if Malaysian airline), 6 dollars to the I think?
rmb or "renminbi" (the people's currency) is the official currency of mainland china, more usually expressed as "yuan".

Thanks mushroom, I think you are right, I was expecting to see the room rates expressed in yen (or yuan).

terembulan- thanks for replying, but nothing to do with Malaysian airline - I'm on the actual hotels website, and it is in China not Malaysia!
1 is currently 13.6 renminbi; 1 renminbi is about seven and a half pence, if that helps. RMB938 is about 69.
Hotels also add 15% tax to the room rate.
