Could a new religion emerge or are we now to technologically sophisticated for a new messiah or truth to catch on?

There doesn't seem to have been a new major one since Sikhism in the 15thc. ( I think).

Is the market saturated and there is no space left for something new, or could someone really charismatic, with excellent PR, fill a spiritual gap?

Love or lothe it it is big in the rich and useless, sorry famous area of civilization.

I think a lot of people simply believe what they see and read on the old tinkernet these days so perhaps this which we are using presently is a form of religion and we have all been unknowingly sucked in and there is no escape hahahahaha(manical evil laughter).
