I would be very grateful for answers to clues 6down and 4down:

6down is as follows 'All erect in going to a place like a polytechnic' (answer is two words 8 letters and 7 letters).
--T-N--- and I think the second word is 'College'.

4down is 'when all should play in the pit, tutor shows up' - the answer has five letters and the ones I have so far are:
T-E-I

Would be really grateful for any help at all - I've nearly got it finished and the closing date is Wednesday!
