Name of cookery book please...

... well it's not a cookery book as such, more an observant, witty non-fiction book about a man's love of cooking and cookery books- the mistakes he makes and his observations of the whole cookery book genre.

I fancied reading it when I read a review and can't remember what it is...any ideas?

It sounds like 'A Pedant in the Kitchen' by Julian Barnes. It is well worth reading.
