Me again. I'm interested in going to a Christian retreat for a weekend-I would go on my own-and wondered if anyone had been to one in the UK? Is it mainly couples or not and what was the experience like?

I've never been to one, I doubt there would be many couples there as it's a time for contemplation where one can go to reflect on one's relationship to God.
Have you ever thought about walking the Camino?

thanks for replying,I'm just googling this for more information and it looks interesting
Go to csj.org.uk for all your info.
If you need to know more I'll do my best.
Try Aylesford Priory, a nice contemplative setting and some good history too:

Or Walsingham House:
