Does any one know how I can work out my electricity costs, I read the meter every month to check the units used, I would like to work out how much it has costs me. I'm with Powergen and I pay quarterly.

No calculation is required on your part.

At the foot of your quarterly bill will be a line Total electricity charges = xx.xx', but you do have to add vat @ 5% to this.
Also on the bill will be the cost per unit (kWH). It'll be approximately 10 - 12 pence. Depending on your tariff, there may well be a 'standing charge' per day - probably in the region of 16 pence.
