Onion Free Chicken Tikka Masala

Hi there, I was just woundering if anyone had a recipe for chicken tikka masala which dose not contain onions. I love chicken tikka masala but am put off by the onions. So if someone can help i would be greatful. Thanx

The flavour of the onion will dissipate while cooking and the taste will not be as strong or sharp as you think it might be. Make the recipe with the onion, you will like it.

If you really are put off by the onions, then omit it.

Am i missing something here ?....if you don't want onions, just leave them out !!!!!!....curries are there to have your stamp put on them...i always add pineapple, mushrooms, onions and peppers to my curries.....some people add other things or leave other bits out but what ever you decide, it's not written in stone !!!

My son made a beautiful Chicken Jalfrezi where he 'grated' the onion. Result was- no recognisable onion pieces at all and a wonderful authentic texture to the dish.However, if your problem is the flavour of onion - then leave it out!

if its only onions you dislike then substitute some leeks or simply liquidise the onions after softening them
