Got 2008, is it just a case of inputting the disk and upgrading my Norton 2007 ?

download this tool

disconnect from internet ...
uninstall in the usual way
reboot
run the removal tool you just downloaded
reboot
install the new package .... if it will without net
reboot then immediately reconnect to net
.....surf safely
