on their 1st album sss sold the gaps betwen the tracks as advertising space so the 'song' to which you refer was an adverts for that product !

Thanx for that Mattk, don't know why I even thought of that 'song', the words just popped into my head the other day, took me a while to remember that it was Sigue Sigue Sputnik - top band eh! ?duuuhhh !
I used to love their stuff. Last year, whilst on holiday in Madeira, my wife and I stopped at a supermarket in the middle of absolutley nowhere for some fizzy pop and an ice lolly, and I gt browsing in the bargain bin of CDs, in which for three Euros I found their greatest hits. Rarely been out of the deck since.
Studio line from L'oreal, fixing gel stong hold (be bold), Studio line from L'oreal fixing gel strong hold. Create your look, the way you like it......
They were fab but didn't they retire in disgrace when the tape they were miming to during a concert, went wonky and they were exposed as miming frauds lol!
Certainly up until very recently, they were still gigging regularly. I think Martin Degville, the...um..."singer", finally quit the band a year or so ago. A friend of mine is a BIG SSS fan and has dragged me along...sorry, invited me to a few gigs. Yeah, I know what you're thinking - with friends like that...

I must admit though, their live cover version of Wheatus's Teenage Dirtbag, with guitarist Neal X on lead vocals while Degville was off backstage changing his fishnets, was surprisingly good (no miming involved).

i was a huge fan back in the day - thought love missile f1-11 sounded absolutely awesome !

and ive got the crucifixion gatefold sleeve version of 21st century boy !

i was even a member of their fanclub....oh the shame !

sad i know but i can still remember some of the adverts even after all this time:-

id magazine, tempo & the studio line one - anyone care to name the others !

Greetings. I bought the original vinyl version of Flaunt It, got the T-Shirt inside the box... Got it on CD now, still does the biz!! Can't remember the ad breaks during the tracks apart from what's been mentioned but I do love technology... gy... gy...
