a year and a half ago I bought my daughter a riding hat from Tesco. It was 35.00. I put it away in a wardrobe and when it came around to her birthday I couldnt remember where I had put it so I bought her another.

The other day, I found said riding hat and it was too small so yesterday I had the audascity to take it back. Their riding hats have now been reduced to 25.00 so not only did they change it for me but gave me the 10 difference on a gift card too enabling me to get her some riding boots and jodphurs that were also in the sale.

Do you think something awful will happen to me now.

You see I once took back a Bridesmaids dress after she had worn it for my Brothers Wedding and I had had it dry cleaned. The next day I smashed my glass kettle and that night I fell out of a taxi drunk and did my knee in.

What are you thinking ?

Hi Katie , if the hat had been in your wardrobe and not worn then I don't think you did wrong to take it back as it was too small . As for the bridesmaid dress ......it's a wonder your teeth didn't fall out ! ...lol

P.S. Mamma, but I DID have it dry cleaned though, since it was white and lilac silk and she and all the other bridesmaids had been skidding across the dance floor in them all night.

donna/katie, after that lie you told about beheading someone i will never believe a word you say. you're a drama queen. lol
You beheaded someone????? Feeling bad about taking a riding hat back to the shop is the least of your worries!!!x
Question Author
Oh yes Chatterbox, I sure have the Dramatic Licence of all time. LOL ! Re the beheading someone, it was a dream I had about someone I would have really loved to do it to and the bit about my uncle was true ! The person I wanted to behead at that time of grief in my life was the person who did that to my uncle. . I wont make apols for being dramatic or even psychotic on that one, it was how I felt at the time.

Honest though, I DID take the bridesmaids dress back and Honest, I did take the riding hat back yesterday!
