How do you save Mario galaxy game on Nintendo Wii?

Have just got this but having problems with the saving. We save our game but when we open it again, we are back with Mario and the bunnies even though gone way beyond that. Are we missing something? Thanks

er i have the game and have suffered no probs like this. i save it then when i want 2 go back on it i just click on my game and im back to where i left it... u saved other games on ur wii before? perhaps its a hardware prob?

you can try one of the method, insert the SD card to WII first, when you want to finish the game, you should select at the meno to save the record to SD card, then you can begin next time without back to the beginning.
