We tried to buy a shed earlier today in our local Homebase store. They wanted to charge us 25 to deliver (less than one mile down the road), so we left it. I have just ordered exactly the same product on line, at the same price, and they have charged me 4.95 to deliver! How does that make any sense at all?

The Homebase store will have overheads etc to cover, online don't.

I know it's the same Company but each store will have its own budgets/costs etc.
We had the same problem so we decided to go to B&Q. Not only are their sheds cheaper, like for like, but if costing more than 400 is delivered free and you can order from the store.
screwfix if you order in store will deliver for free

To In A Pickle - you're right they're not part of Sainsburys, they are now part of Argos, or part of the same group as Argos.
