Width of yellow restricted parking lines

Is it true that yellow - restricted parking lines - have to be a certain width, and if they are not the correct measurement they are not legal?

I Have a neighbour with cctv cameras recording sound about 8 feet away from my front door

Diagrams 1017 to 1018.1 found in Schedule 6 of The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2002 indicate the Yellow Lines may be 100mm, 75mm or 50mm wide and terminated by a 150mm T-bar.
