There is a saying about cats , dogs and pigs ...can't think how it goes something to do with one looks at you , another looks down and one is equal ...someone will know what i'm talking about ..
I have never met a person who owned a cat that I did not like. On the other hand, I find that people who do not like cats, are not very nice people for all sorts of reasons other than just not liking cats....... Just my observations over the years.

I too question the point of your post. Many things in this life seem pointless. How useful are you for instance? Are you a pleasure to have around ? I can honestly say that my 3 cats enrich my life. I could not imagine what my life would be like without them.
Cats are demanding, manipulative, picky, little furry alarm clocks.

I am not too sure why they are so lovable - but they are. And I am not just saying that because my two are staring at me either.
Well I have had a pointless 4 days without my little girl she was at the vets got her home today now my life has a reason to look after her
Good grief persianlady. That is quite a generalisation!
I know nice people who like cats and I know nice people who like gardening and don't like cats for obvious reasons.
In A Pickle,
YES eyebrows are very useful for stopping drips of sweat from your forehead getting in your eyes!!!!!
Sorry wildwood. I too am a very keen gardener. I have a lovely garden. My neighbour has 5 cats who visit and I have 3 of my own. I don't have any problems with them. My cats are not allowed out of the garden, and so are not a problem to my neighbours. My neighbour on the other side does not like cats. He grows roses, and leaves lengths of thorny stems on the soil in between his plants to deter cats.... NASTY !
I love my cats and I love birds and I love my garden too. I garden specifically to encourage wildlife and I actually agree with Persian Lady on this. Actually, I take it further - from experience I have learned that I have never liked a person who doesn't like animals in general. Yes, my cats catch a few wild birds, but that is natural.

Watch Alan Titchmarsh gardening, his cat follows him around!
