Like many celebrities before her, Christina Aguilera opted to have her baby by caesarean. She insists that it wasn't because she was too posh to push but because she was too scared. The singer had a heard many a horror story about giving birth, she wanted a calm and peaceful environment. What do you think? Was she too posh to push like the other celebrities? Are all women not terrified of giving birth?

I had an emergency C section first time around and I'm on my second now. I have no plans whatsoever to have another and would give my hind teeth to have a natural birth!

So... I think there are other reasons we don't hear about i.e. tummy tuck at the same time etc.... Reason I say this is that Posh has had three C sections and her belly is like a washboard! C sections are notorious for being unforgiving in the weightloss department!
first time around I think every woman is scared of the prospect. Its not just celebrities who can pay to opt for c-sect.

Personally Im too scared of needles to opt for anything but drug free labour but we are all different arent we. Im facing the possibility of a large baby and a c-sect at moment and am terrified.
andrea reminded me, i was gonna say that generally those having c-sects on NHS dont get a possible tummy tuck at same time. It does look to the publics eye that the celebs lose the baby weight and the excess skin very quickly indeed.
Red youl be fine- i had my 1st with a section and all went well, they told me my baby would be a big one and she weighed 1b6 -9oz!
I know that Britney had her C section on the pretence of fitting in with her career. Such a sad reason to do that. It feels like to me that celebs check their diary to fit in a baby!
thank patricia, Im sure Id cope (Id have to lol) but first baby was 9lbs 6 and this time i have gestational diabetes and its likely to be larger.
Blimey, I don't think it matters how much money I had I wouldn't opt for C-section unless medical staff advised me to. It just makes me feel queasy.

I mean no offence to those of you who have had to have C-section or will have to in future (who knows I may have to), but I would opt for a natural birth any day. I don't like it when nature is interfered with for no reason, hence me understanding if people have to on the advice of medical professionals, but not just because you are scared or wanto to lose the weight quicker / get a tummy tuck in at the same time.
My wife is exactly the same as andrea, and I agree entirely with what she has said above, might as well get a bit of cosmetic surgery whilst they are rummaging around down there eh?

In the words of Jim Royle, my arse. Lucky she wasn't born a century earlier then.
Where I work we had a (now retired) Obs & Gynae Consultant who actually used to write TPTP in patient's notes under Reason For Caesarean Section!
