Are there other metals in indian gold

A friend bought me a gold nose ring when she was in Goa a couple of weeks ago. I steralised it before putting it into my nose but it set off a huge infection and i had to take it out. Im fine with gold and silver but cannot wear other metals at all?

an old friend of mine.(indian) claims that indian gold is purer than the real stuff the rest of the world uses !!!
i cant see how it can be true/pure gold to be honest...
the worlds finances are centered around gold, and to my knowledge, they dont trade in fools gold !!!!!

If it is 23 carat Indian gold then 1/24th of it will be other metals.

But an infection can only be caused by a bacterium. Since there are a huge number of harmful bacteria in your nose it is highly probable that your nose and not the ring was the source of the infection.

here i am again :(

I let my nose heal up and have been wearing my old gold nose ring and iv been fine. last week i put in the indian gold nose ring and its done it AGAIN!!!. another infection to clear up. it must be something other than pure gold. is there anywhere i can get it checked out?
